Still breathing
« on: January 11, 2019, 11:04:15 PM »
Where’s Stan seems to be (for some unexplainable reason) a pressing question.
Yes. I will be at Cabin Fever with at least one new engine and possibly two.
Elmer’s 24 is done. Last week I decided to build on elbow engine. Should be ready????

Re: Cabin Fever. For some reason, I became the Director of Saving Seats. Here’s the new plan.
I’ll put down 10 “Reserved for MEM” signs. I know that Scott, Dave and I will be there. If’n the creek don’t rise, Cletus may actually show. The remaining 6 seats are first come, first occupied.

I realized that I was spending more time on the forum and creating build logs than I spent actually making parts. That caused me to go on a “Forum Hiatus.”

Cletus suggested that this may be the reason that I disappeared.

In addition, I’ve whiled away the hours, conversing with the flowers  and…

Organizing screws

Still working on the Simpson and Shipton

Playing the banjo

Fred’s Gun Day

Wilton Bullet Restoration

Getting better with the CNC

Lots of “Practice”

Restoring a Brown and Sharpe Screw Machine Knurling Tool

Volunteering at The Museum of the American Revolution (spoiler alert. We won.)

Copying a Starrett Tap Wrench for Fred’s birthday

Making a nameplate for my wife’s birthday present grill to match the Weber plate.

A swivel knife to cut gaskets on the CNC mill

And, a Busker Organ

That’s about it.

Hope to see a lot of people at Cabin Fever

Best,
Stan

Well at least you have been keeping busy!
Lots of nice work going on there, well except maybe for some of those trial cylinders. :)

Nice vise! I like the jaws.

Good to see you are still with us.

Shooting occurred at Fred's weekend cottage on the Susquehanna River. We were pretty careful not to aim towards the nuclear power plant across the river. :lolb:
Gun Day happens twice a year. Great fun

This is Pennsylvania  Dave, not Massachusetts. Plus, I think the two Daisy Red Ryders are pretty safe.

Well I’ll be a son of a diddly, Vern has re-entered the building. Looks like you have been enjoying yourself. Hey, ain’t anything wrong with being on the streets or in the bars as long as they are the right ones  :lolb:. Man, I could have used that knurling tool today. Talk to you soon: don’t make yourself so damn scarce anymore now you hear.

Tin
The cricut was my first thought, but you’re operating under the assumption that she’s crafty. Great cook, damn good golfer. Crafty? Not.
In any case, what fun would that be when I could spend untold hours and three design iterations to build a swivel cutter.

Cletus
I’m definitely back. Y’all come to CF you hear?
Best,
Stan
