Sad Loss.
« on: January 06, 2019, 03:04:46 PM »
Just in case there are dog lovers amongst us, I am sad to say that Lily, our family mutt who often appeared on my Burrell thread has lost a battle with illness......in spite of spending lots of money she had to be put to sleep two days before Christmas.     R.I.P.

Terry,

That's a very tough decision to make, even when you know it's the kindest thing you can do for the old pooch.

You have my sympathy. It's heartbreaking, I know, I have been there twice last year.

Terry,

What a nice picture! It's always so hard to do that last act of kindness for a beloved pet. We went through that same thing last June. My condolences.

My most sincere condolences, Terry. That's a tough thing to have to do, but thankfully we're there for our friends when they need the tough decision to be made. We had to put down our two early last year. Heart breaking... :'(

Terry, one of the hardest thing to do I know from experience as well. Somehow, doing the right thing doesn't ease the pain, but time and fond memories help. So sorry for you loss.

So sorry to hear of your loss Terry. Over the years we have lost some much loved family members.

By far the hardest journey I made was to the vets and coming out alone.

Steve.

Thank you Friends for your comments.

Steve, I know what you mean, but we brought her home. She is buried in the garden under my workshop window.

What a lovely thought to have Terry. Every time you are in the workshop.

Steve.
