Agreed. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us Jo. Ive seen a few in that collection that I would like to have. What is that model towards the last of them. It appears to be a three cylinder affair. ?

Nice pictures Jo. Hope our guys at cabin fever do as well. You only ended up with one set of castings?  :o. Surus must have been disappointed  ;)

Thanks Guys, I will have to find out the details on that three cylinder engine or maybe one of the visitors today would like to find out... it is on the SMEE stand  ;)

We did look at the rotative pump from Southworth but Blackgates did not currently have any in stock. We would probably go directly to Bob at Southworth Engines for that anyway. Polly never bring casting sets unless you ask them specifically for it  :-\

Thank you for taking and posting so many pictures  :)  :)  :wine1:  There are some fascinating things there. The diesel boat power pack (img 0047) has some interesting attachments, possibly a governor?.
Best regards

Interesting but still not obvious  :headscratch: The disc and spring connected to the throttle could be a clutch to disconnect the load at idle. The mechanism behind the engine could be a pull cord starter or some form of winch. I think that there are some parts missing

It's got all the patina and all the looks of something built in the 1950's, 1960's.

A barn find perhaps or Grandpa's engine maybe

Well "engines" both steam and IC seemed to be a bit thin on the ground this year if you exclude those on the dealers stands which Jo has covered extensively which meant nothing really new or exciting. I did manage to find a few dotted around the club stands and have also taken a few of the non" engine" subjects too. In no particular order.

A quick update on my missing set of castings  :(

I have been in contact with Bob Potter and he tells me that as of last October he passed on the Southworth range to Blackgates.  Bob was good enough to send us a set of drawings so we can plan our next casting purchase  ::)
