Probably way too late to throw in this suggestion, but just in case - I have often used hot glue to fill up and insulate an electrical box. Quick and easy, and not too hard to remove if necessary.

Thanks for that one Andy. I still haven't quite finished it and potting the distributor remains outstanding. I am saving it for our club competition whilst it is all nice and new but this year's happenings have rather kyboshed it. In the mean time, it is sitting on my bookcase as an ornament. Bit of a waste really!
