That looks like a bit of a thumb crusher :-[ hopefully with your regulator sorted it can be tamed  :)

It has quite a lot of eccentric movement but I guess that is due to the quite long valve that it has.

I understand why you mention oil and the colour, as the later appears a bit 'delicate' to the eye  ;)

Things are looking up I have been allowed the CHUK 1 castings this morning  :cartwheel: . So I have transported them to the workshop before he changes his mind.

I have found a little more information on this engine: It was published in Miniature Mechanics in 1945.

I have attached some photos of the pages from the article and another example of this model engine.

Was that one of the "duck egg blues" that was not? Makes a change from the usual dark greens and reds anyway.


Yeah it's a beautiful colour which gives the engine a very handsome look...   8)
