Thimble sizes

I know its a bit of a long shot and a strange request .If possible can any one supply the dimension for I think an American sewing thimble the size is a number 11 its for a future project :Lol:

Your Google fu is very weak.

Search on "thimble sizes" and the second URL returned is;

http://prqc.com/thimble_sizing.htm

which indicates that a size 11 measures 2.25" at the base.  Unless they make thimbles for gorillas, that must be a circumference so divide by pi to get the diameter.
