Proxxon FD 150
« on: November 14, 2018, 02:17:57 PM »
Has anyone had any experience with this micro lathe?  It is similar in design to my MF 70 micro mill which I am very happy with. The two points that took my attention were 5000 rpm and ER11 collet chuck. The one point that concerns me is that 'normal' turning is done using the compound slide although this seems to be common for watchmakers style lathes.
Best regards

Roger

Having looked at this further it won't do quite what I want as it will be difficult to fit my floating reamer holder in the tailstock and have any room left to work  :( I think it would have been possible to add a lead screw for the saddle but why buy something and immediately have to embark on major mods  ::)
Best regards

Roger
