1/4 Scale Nanzy
« on: November 04, 2018, 03:44:25 PM »
Hi all,

I'm new on MEM but have been lurking here for some time. I have a Casting kit I bought at Cool Springs last June. A friend of mine also has one and the plan is to build it together, each at his own shop and compare notes as we go. I can't seem to find any build threads for the Nanzi and as this is my first casting kit I would like to get some tips on machining some of the parts. I am not an expert builder by any means but have built running steam engines and a couple IC engines that I am quite proud of. I have a 9" South Bend lathe, a LMS 6x18 lathe, a Shop Task 3 in 1 and a mini mill with DRO's for small intricate parts.
Has anyone on here built the Nanzi and posted a build thread?

Thank you,

Jim

I've not seen any build threads but you will get some results if you search for Nanzy with a y on several of the model forums

As Jason says, a search for Nanzy on Google will bring up quite a few results, including postings on other forums from people who have built this engine. You may be able to make contact with them through those forums. There are also several YouTube videos which may be of interest.

Also available with rust which she prefers

Just realized I spelled Nanzy incorrectly   however I did use the correct spelling when searching. Thank you for the comments and info.
