Ford Modell-T AF1

In January, 2014, I purchased a Bohm Stirling car model kit that was pre-machined, thereby making it quite expensive. It was built in Germany.

But it was a car of quality machined aluminum and brass with tires of solid rubber.

The car runs on alcohol. The flame in the wicked containter at the back warms the air in the heat exchanger. It runs with a quick flick of the two brass flywheels.

I think knowing that there are models on the market of this calibre, prompted me to purchase the D51-200 locomotive and tender.

That Model T is nice but the DS1-200 kit seems in a whole different league imo.

Beautiful piece of kit John, but somehow a Stirling car seems a bit odd to me. Still a lovely model though.

That looks to be at least a 2 stage reduction O-ring drive train.  Possibly 3 stage reduction since it looks like there might be 3 O-rings in that drive train.  You got a picture of the bottom of the car?

You are right Don. There are three reductions in the power train. The third is cleverly attached to the back of the front tire.
