I buy my carburetors through EBAY for the engines. After this build the subject of making your own came up in a forum. My turn to give them a try out.
They are easy to make. I don't need throttling so engine speed is varied thru air/fuel mixture ratio for a few hundred RPM range.
The air horn inserts are drilled to the flow needs of the engine. A fixed size on left and a variable size with set screw restriction. I go with the fixed size.
On the backside a Delrin adapter to fit the intake manifold. The fuel tube into brass threaded rod with needle seat drilled in.
This mixer worked so well I made a duplicate!
Tried them out on other engines. SIDE SHAFTER is a recipient of one of these and the O.S buggy and airplane carbs are in a tray now. Unlikely I will be buying more carbs now!
