Osgood shovel model 820 info needed
« on: September 22, 2018, 09:49:15 PM »
Hi all,

I just acquired an old Marion Power Shovel/Osgood Model 820 parts catalog - mainly since it includes exploded diagrams of crawler track mechanisms from the 1950's era shovels, which are very interesting mechanisms. It includes parts diagrams for the rest of the machine, but not any showing what the assembled thing looks like. So far I have not been able to find any pictures of what a Model 820 shovel looks like - anyone have any pics of one?

Osgood was a seperate company till 1954 when Marion bought them - they started out as another 'Marion' shovel company name but changed to Osgood after the original Marion sued them (was started by a disgruntled ex-Marion employee). This catalog must be from the 50's, since it has both the Osgood and Marion names in it, apparently from soon after the buyout.

Any info most appreciated!

Thanks,Chris
