I second that; another cracking day.

I spent most of it outside playing with my 3" Burrell but I got to see all the important people (those listed above and Sue of course).

James did a splendid job organising the models, and Bill the traction engines/steam lorries.

The day has grown out of all proportion over the years and it is too much for one person to do now. There were a couple of people who arrived without sending in their booking forms, and complained bitterly that they were not put in the same place as last year.
There was more display outside under cover which gives more space for tea and cake upstairs - that has got to be better.

See you next year...or at LOWMEX in a fortnight.

No bent fingers this year I'm pleased to say. Yep, another absolutely cracking 'Day' blessed with perfect weather and perfect company.

Changes are afoot as Andy says simply due to squeezing the proverbial quart into a pint pot but it will still be very much 'our day'.

Didn't take any pics myself - usual excuse just too many people to catch up with  ;D but Willy's new engine looked superb in it's maroon and ran well all day - another fine one Will

Friend Chris - 'Modelsteam' - came as a visitor but whisked a couple of his half sized AM designs out of his pocket and we had them running on the table too. His latest WIP, a half sized Stuart Models James Coombe, has the makings  of yet another small masterpiece

Yep Andy, fully agree - lets do it all again next year

The sat-nav took us there the back way and I wondered , as Iwas driving down the ever narrowing roads,  if I was going to get stuck !

Lovely little village and a real surprise to find  beautifully restored engines there.

Some great models on display (the anzani bently rotary is gorgeous)  I saw someone playing with  engine clamped  to a table which I guessed was Ramon (?) but didn't want to disturb him .

well worth the trip :-)

And another old engine that has been ""reinterpreted""  unfortunately in the past that did have a boiler.!!

One of the model engines looked sort of vaguely familiar, but it's keeper didn't seem to know much about it's history. Back home, I'm browsing through a magazine and find an article on the restoration of the same engine. It was regarded as an interesting antique when the article was published in 1926.
