My first steam engine build
« on: September 06, 2018, 12:29:02 PM »
This was my first steam engine build. It is a PM Research #3 from cast iron and bronze castings. It runs very well on compressed air.

Well finished engine Joe. That #3 is in a lot of our collections  and is a good runner. Thanks for showing it.

Thanks for the pic follow up Joe. That's a superb engine. I hope I can develop my skills to a similar level.

Thanks for all of the positive comments. I learned much of my skills from watching Mr. Pete, Tinker John and the Lazy Machinist all on YouTube.

Brave of you not to do what I did and start with a basic oscillator.

I have a set of castings for a PMR #6 which I haven't dared to touch yet   :)
