Hello Brian,

If all goes well I should have the Floorboard completed and the Body reinstalled and the Turtledeck mounted by the end of the week.

Have a great day,
Thomas

Hello everyone,

Work progressed a bit faster than expected and the Buggy Body is now all riveted up and is mounted on the Chassis. Got the Hinges installed on the Turtledeck and it is now operational. I have uploaded a video showing the work that is completed and how the Buggy looks now.  :cartwheel:

Have a great day,
Thomas

Hello Chris,

I am really pleased with the looks the way it has turned out. I think it has captured the "Horseless Carriage" look of the time period. I think the Turtledeck is the "cat's meow" and I appreciate all you past help.

Have a great day,
Thomas

Fantastic work Travis! Hope your back holds out, take it safe & slow.

What type of gauges & instrumentation will you be adding?
What are the plans for the steering wheel? Or "Tiller"?

 Putt...putt...putt...putt...     :D

Looks great, so much that I'm almost disappointed not to see Grand Ma Ducks open back with the three nephews sitting there (I know these features came later)

Hello John and thank you,

Well my back is not going to make it, I'm too old and all the parts are worn out

I had planned on the basic gauges in brass to replicate the Buggies of that era.

Steering will be by wheel, and I had planned on the deep-dished style which will work great with the Rack and Pinion that I had installed.

Have a great day,
Thomas

Rodger--The "turtledeck" is the portion of body behind the driver. In this case, he is referring to the portion of the rear body that hinges up to uncover the engine. If you had a trunk or a rumble seat there, the strip of metal between the trunk area and the driver was called the "Daisy-panel". If you didn't have a turtledeck, then you had a small box like a pickup truck.---Brian

Hello Brian,

Thanks for informing Roger what a Turtledeck is. I included you in the "ole dude" category but don't think you are as old as I am. I thought about installing a pickup style bed in lieu of the Turtledeck but would have had to lower the engine a bit more.

Have a great day,
Thomas
