Wow!  That looks great from here. Keep up the good work.

P.S.  I live less than half an hour from where a lot of the "horsless carrages" were built and sold. If you based yours on something from Detroit I can probably pin point where it was built.

Hello Steve and thank you,

My final design was not based on a single Buggy. It was based on a culmination of about three years of researching all Horseless Carriages to achieve the overall outward appearance. The Chassis and all the Running Gear I designed from scratch to utilize current critical components such as the engine, wheels, transmission, etc.

Have a great day,
Thomas

Hello everyone,

I have uploaded a new video showing the Buggy now with all the panels from the seat area to the back installed and riveted in place. With the internal support and bracing installed the Buggy now has the strength of a tank.

Have a great day,
Thomas

Terrific progress, really looking great!

Will you be adding some sort of sound insulation in the engine bay walls?

Hello Chris,

Thank you, and right now I am looking at the sound proofing material that is also a heat shield. It has a self-adhesive material on one side and an aluminum reflective film material on the other side. However I am still looking for other options. I will for sure use the Heat Wrap on the entire exhaust system and after I do a test run with the exhaust completely installed, I am hoping that the noise level will be so low that the insulation will not be required.

Have a great day,
Thomas

Thomas,

Your knuckles look like mine do after a day of futzing with sheet metal.  Lotta blood sweat and tears in the project so far, but it's looking great as a result.

Hello everyone,

Not much progress on the Buggy this month but I now have the Dash panel (photo-1) installed. The cutout is for a piece of Red Oak to make the Instrument Panel.

I also got the Floorboard removed from the Chassis and all the 1" x 3" support timbers installed on the outer edge (photo-2) and all the interior cross members. These timbers will reinforce the Floorboard and raise it 1-inch over the Chassis. One more coat of paint and it will be ready to reinstall on the Chassis.

Have a great day,
Thomas
