Help with the pedigree of this lever cross slide
« on: August 02, 2018, 05:17:10 PM »
This was acquired via a box at auction with the stuff I really wanted (jacobs hobbing machine castings) and I'm curious about it.

Almost for sure its Myford related, just looks it and the estate was rather oriented toward Myford.  My guess is its home made from a casting offering just because I can't find any reference to it on Myford catalogues.  Its very well made, for example you don't often see homebrew graduated markings/stamping of that quality (they make me less sure of my first guess they're so nice.)

I've got a two direction lever slide for another lathe and its a really handy think when cranking out multiple parts, but this one as unique feature in that you can angle the Z axis as well.

Anyone have any insight into this nice piece of kit?  Factory?  casting kit?  old ME article?  complete DIY?

Thanks!

thanks.....so it is factory.  I feel a bit silly not checking the obvious site, appreciate the push :)
