Bristol Show 17th-19th Aug
« on: July 20, 2018, 09:23:11 AM »
I am wondering how many of us are planning to go to the Bristol Show this year.

I am planning to go on the Friday and will be taking along a couple of engines to exhibit on the ICEBG table, the rest of the ICEBG boys are staying all three days  ;)

Please come over and say hello. I would offer to bring along some edible goodies but based on past performance of the Sticky Wotsit scoff rate I doubt there will be any left by the time the show opens  :ShakeHead:

I was going to decide nearer the time but if there is going to be a boot full of castings may go on the Friday rather than the Saturday that looked more likely. There is nothing like a dodgy deal in a carpark ;)

Its been a long time since we haven't done trading in the car park, I've even known the traders with their own stands in the show come and join in the fun  :mischief:

Yes I did notice the mass exodus from within the Guildford site when you said you were going for a fondle in the carpark :embarassed:

I wonder if Irish Dave is going, he may have some casting sets to offload.

Keep Eric away from the sticky wotsits he scoffed most of them last time. I shall be there from Thursday.

I heard that excuse before Mike :lolb:

Will you be bringing any "spare" casting sets with you in case anyone wants to make an Anzani (I know you are trying to fund an additional casting set of your own :embarassed: )

:headscratch: Mike, have I not sent you the additional drawings for the mods for the W type and the 6 cylinder versions.

Based on the jealousy from Jason when he was left out when we all went off for a fondle at Guildford I think it is best I don't bring my set of "those other castings"  :-X this time.

I haven't seen any of those drawings yet, I hope I've made the parts correctly, well the engines run ok (sort of).

I can still remember how you bits felt so I'm ok for a few weeks, thanks.

Why are you not stopping for the 3 day's

Don't worry Mike, your castings are safe. I'm not sure what reaction Jo saw when I was allowed into Eric's playroom but it was not Jealousy and I even managed to leave without feeling the need to try and talk Eric out of anything at a knock down price.

I do have a collection of ref material for "Future Projects" and of the many subjects within a radial aero is not amoung them or any other aero engine for that matter. Suppose I just like other subjects.

Anyway If the other castings from the Welsh Wizard turn up that will be plenty to keep me busy for a while especially as there are no drawings or even sketches for one of them.

Because this is my first visit to the Bristol show and I am seeing what I think of it before committing to staying over.

Enjoy old Warden tomorrow Mike ;)

:headscratch: I am sure I sent you the crankshaft drawings for the six and the connecting rod for the W type.

Just in case you have lost them  ::) they are attached.
