Just got back from the Bristol show - a nice friendly atmosphere, not as many traders as the Midlands but a lot less of a scrum and more enjoyable for it.  There were some unexpected model clubs - two weirdest for me were;

Model hot air balloonists - they inflated three balloons in the hall for their demo but could only reach a height of a couple of feet before they touched the ceiling.

The RC truckers - they had laid out a road system with a garage, a truck stop and several other features and were happily driving round it at a very slow speed with lots of simulated air brake noises.

Each to their own though  ;D

Jonathan, take a few extra quid with you as there is a man there thinking of selling a nicely made Ball Hopper Monitor ;)

I'll stick a few pics up in a while

The Great Hun-Yun Run ( 2018 Edition ) in a couple of weeks or so.  :ThumbsUp:
:paranoia:

I have a lot of pics but it may be a while as I have just got back :-\ It was a long day very good, lots of interesting models, not so many trade stands :(

I am pleased to say sufficient sticky wotsits were taken to prevent the normal scoffing competition between certain individuals  ::) there may possibly be a couple left tomorrow (assuming someone did not take the remains back to his digs with him)

Jo

P.S. This was that Monitor that you maybe interested in...

Thankyou jason and jo

I take it you have been to the show today jason? If so what did you think as I go down most years and there are generally some nice models there.
Was there anything going on outside? ?

Some quite nice models that I had not seen before as it was my first time there but can't really compare it to previous shows.

A few traction engines running outside.

Sorry about the delay, that was the first long drive since my surgery and it left me dead in the water  :-[
