Those slotted screws look right good.
I can never get the slot in the right place. It's usually on the next part.

Zee;

I might share with you my secrets;  1.  If you need 4 slotted screws, make 6 and discard the rejects.  2.  If you only made 3 good ones pick the best of the remaining and put it in a spot not likely to be seen.   3. When photographing for your posts move the bad screw to a place out of the shot you are making.  4. Only as a very LAST resort; make another good one.

See, anyone can look good on a forum.   Even me.   :Lol:   So you can either have real skill or give the appearance of having it.

Dave, thanks for resurrecting this old thread. Somehow I had missed it completely back in 2012 and 2013.  Having a set of half scale castings for this engine aging under the workbench, some of the set-ups will be referenced once I get around to starting it. The crosshead guide in particular seems to be the greatest challenge for this engine

Dave, he was last active in May of 2017, so perhaps just a busy summer. Maybe he will see this thread revived and chime in.
