Thank you everyone. I’ve sourced an 0 MT arbour with a draw bar. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Second question:

I’ve got a D.C. electric motor. It’s old, probably 30 years. I’m not totally familiar with motors but after some research, and a picture below, I’ll try and explain what I have inside. So when the rotor is out, I’ve got the magnets and what looks like a wound stator (googling has suggested that!) that is wrapped. These are two semi circles and a wire coming out of each. Two wires going to each of the brushes and one going to live and one to common.

I appreciate that I clearly haven’t a clue what I am talking about I should be capable of editing the configuration if I know what I have to do. In an ideal world, I’d add a switch to flip the rotation but I’m already getting ahead of myself.

Is there any way to change the direction of rotation?
