Kindly asking for help with an Elmer Wall 4 cylinder engine
« on: August 10, 2022, 12:50:29 PM »
Hello everyone, my grandpa started and nearly finished building an Elmer Wall 4 cylinder engine. All that is left is to finish the distributor, valve springs, pistons, points, contact breaker, and small fasteners, etc. Unfortunately, he passed away this summer due to underlying medical conditions. Would anyone have build notes or helpful build guidance? I was able to find the original blue prints, however no build notes. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you as always.

There are two Wall 4 cylinder engines:

1, 50cc Side Valve
2, 30cc Overhead valve.

The bits remaining will be easy to make  with the possible exception of the piston rings which some find a bit more tricky.

It might be easier to ask us questions on each bit as you go along...

Thank you very much for the helpful information, I really appreciate it. The version I have is the 50cc side valve. I will definitely look into that article.
