 What kind of grinding wheel are you using?
 I'm used to seeing the white "carborundum" wheels on surface grinders, usually a 46 grit for GP grinding. Of course this varies with material & hardness. Lots of options....

 Great looking tooling block set up.

Thanks for the nice comments.
The wheel is  46G aluminum oxide, if I remember correctly H hardness. I don't do a lot of grinding but this wheel seems to work great for most of what I need to do.
