Hi from Kent UK
« on: June 22, 2018, 11:10:58 AM »
Hello everyone,

I recently took early retirement from a varied career in R&D and now have lots more time to spend in the workshop. I have had a lathe and mill for some time and my current interests include stationary engines both ic and steam. I recently completed my first ic engine, an Atom Minor mk3 which runs well, once I get it started! I also completed a Stuart 10V which my grandfather began and got about 80% through many years ago, it was very satisfying to see that model running! My current project is a Westbury designed Kiwi Mk2 ic engine for which I have found previous posts on MEM extremely useful - see attached photo. When I finish the Kiwi, which hopefully won't be too long, I have a casting set for a Stuart beam engine to start work on.

Best regards,

Clive

Hi Clive and welcome to the group.

That's great. Another Kiwi builder. Hope it does not give you a hard time to get it started.

Hi Jo and Vince,

I read your threads on the Kiwi more than a few times and found them extremely helpful - many thanks for that! Same goes for the Atom Minor - see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h94vp9cqiHI

With regards to starting I hope that the Kiwi will be kinder to me than the Atom Minor was!

Clive

PS how do I post a video?

Hi Clive,

We are virtually neighbours! I am at Teston and I used to work at Kingshill. Isn't is a small world?
