Small driving wheels tells me it is a freight loco but that is as far as my knowledge of Choochoos goes

Hi again, it is 2.5in gauge and I could find nothing about it as the builder is no longer with us.

I wish I knew a lot more as I got a 3.5in LMS Black, train & tender, just needs a few bits put back on mainly in the cab and the brakes sorting out underneath. would like some advice on that one to get it complete.

Well, assuming it is not freelance, it will not be an LMS or GWR engine because it has a round-top, parallel boiler. There are two relevant published designs known to the 2-1/2" Gauge Association, viz:

http://www.n25ga.org/Designs/LNER%20Designs/Nigel%20Minor/Nigel%20Minor%20by%20Martin%20Evans.htm
http://www.n25ga.org/Designs/WD%20Designs/Austere%20Ada/Austere%20Ada%20by%20LBSC.htm

I think your model could be the 'Nigel Minor'.

If you are going to sell it you might do better to describe it as a locomotive. Not a train.
