Doesn't the lodge look require log cabin or a 6" pine wall sort of thing? :mischief:

Time to create a poll my friend. To paint or not to paint.

But that's the easier question. I struggle more with color. I believe I have some slight color blindness...especially when it comes to the darker shades of blue, gray, or green, but even lighter shades of off-white, egg, etc.

My wife's incredulous look when I say I'm wearing my gray socks is priceless.

BTW 'taupe' is a many shaded something or other.

I hate 'taupe'. I don't know what it is. I thought I did.

This is starting to sound like the color charts at a paint store, have you seen the names of some of those thousands of shades?

A background colour used a lot is magnolia..a sort of cream...a good friend of mine (Chris Goan) is a poet and has this to say about it:-
1                                                                                      3
Life is too short for magnolia                                               What is the point of magnolia
Let's splash the old walls with new paint                               When rain is by rainbows replaced?
Mix me purples and blues                                                     It's the space left behind
Like a two day old bruise                                                      When colours go blind
And gold like the robes of a saint                                           It's life being leached from a face."

2
Where does it come from, magnolia?                                      and my shed's just dirty white....you takes your choice.. :stir:
Not from the wild places I've been                                  Apologies for digressing again.                  Terry
brown eggs in a nest
Bright robin red breast
And oceans of deepest sea-green

"Put me in the "lodge look" camp Bill.  My shop room is white and I've thought about painting it a darker color."

Or just buy more dark colored machines and tools to put up against the walls? :)

I like the way you think!

Would have gotten off white or tan but not available😊 The laundry sink will be used for really dirty hands.
