I'm on the side where you can't have too much lighting. It's easier to turn them off than to add them.It's the one thing (well...amongst other things) that I'm disappointed with in my shop.I had wanted twice the amount of LED tubes in the ceiling but got talked out of it.T thinks it looks garish (or glaring) but I find the shop too dim.Task lighting has helped but good overall lighting is much more inviting.As one gets older, it gets harder for the ol' irises to contract enough to see sharp. It requires lots of light.On a different note...if you want to impress the ladies when they visit...keep the seat down.
