Yeah, many years ago I got stuck in Washington DC for 5 days when they got a foot of snow - all they had was half a dozen pickup trucks with plow blades for the whole district, they dug out the train tracks by hand, it was eery walking down these 8 lane boulevards in the capital with no one else in sight. All the northerners were looking out the hotel lobby windows, saying 'yeah, so, whats the problem? Just a dusting of snow!'

I can relate. Have to admit it's a lot nicer knowing I don't HAVE to get out in it now as in going to work.

The rest of the countertop is in now. 18 feet of it on the far side and so far only a few things to occupy it...two belt Sanders and the bench grinder. Leaving room for a possible heat treat furnace in the future.

Hello Bill,

Your shop looks bigger with every new photo. Sure hope that all the bad weather is not delaying your house.

Have a great day,
Thomas

Thanks Thomas and Dave. Funny, due to nasty weather and other things I hadn't been out there Friday or yesterday. When I drove up today the wall board was completely up in the house. Not finished of course but hung at least.  :o.  Surprised the heck out of me.  Hoping the brick Mason's will start in again tomorrow.

Come on down Chris. Room for a few shop gnomes as well.  Still trying to get the molding machine moved out  :wallbang:. He has promised to get it out before Jan 1. Then I can work on the middle area. The tractor is still there too, but guess I can't complain about that.

Love seeing the progress, Bill!  And I'll bet you do too :)

Do you Have forced air heat in your shop?  Looks like a heat register up on the ceiling in that picture of your new counter top.

Kim, that was step two in the renovation. Step one was the new circuit breaker panel and wiring for HVAC.  Step two was having the heat pump put in and so far it has done very well, both cooling at the end of the summer, and now heating. It is soooo nice just walking in to a near constant 67 degrees.
