Actually made a small bit of swarf today but it wasn't metal, rather a short length of 2" PVC pipe. The dust collectors for the bench lathe (buffer) came with elbows, but I wanted to connect them for stability and have a way to attract the 1 1/4" shop vac hose to it. 2" schedule 40 pvc pipe was just right for morning down the ends for a friction fit into the elbows and then a bored hole halfway between which will accept the hose end. A small job but I think it will work out well no more than the buffer is used. See photos 1 &2.

I have about completed insulating the bathroom as well, and still have two more OSB panels to install in the main shop area and things will be hearing the finish line.

Thanks for looking in Don. And thanks for the recommendation as well. If nothing else, with aging eyes, the magnifier will be a great help.

Short update. The bathroom insulation is complete as is the replacement of the four OSB panels on the far wall. Next is to reattach the final bench/countertop frame, put the last countertop on, and reattach the plug mold. Oh yes that window will need new trim as well.

Thanks Dave. At least the heavy and on my knees type work is gone now. Finally things can start going back together rather than demolition.

Bill, be sure to put nail stops over that plastic water tubing before covering the wall!  Surprise water jets are not too funny....

Wish I had a head in my shop.....

Very handy, my model shop is in the back corner of the house right next to the bathroom, very handy to be able to go rinse parts, wash off grease, flush rogue shop gnomes...

I'd settle for a wash tub type sink like I've had the last two houses! Washing parts and me....

Yeah, it'd be nice to have a bathroom in the shop!  Quite a luxury!

Pete, yes there is a laundry sink also, just outside the bathroom. It comes in handy for many things. Chris and Kim, thanks for looking in as well.

Hi Jim, the house is coming along also, slight delay waiting on inspections but those are complete now. The house is dried in completely, rough wiring, plumbing, HVAC all done. Next week should see the start of drywall going in and bricking of the outside...so we are making some progress. The snow and ice early this week and rain all day today on top of that has made this week a bit of a loss but it has to dry up sometime right??

Good to hear that it is progressing well, and I wanted to thank you guys down south for taking the last couple of winter storms for us northerners!
