Umm...the coffee/espresso machine definitely won't be in the bathroom... :lolb:

Why not?

If I had my way...there'd be a fridge and bed in there too.

And a microwave.
Yep frig for sure and a microwave. Now bed is going overboard there ZEE he may not get anything done, but hey a good recliner would be great..... :lolb:

A shop should have a comfy chair. In the boat shop we called it the 'Moaning Chair'. One could sit there and contemplate how
to fix the major (*&% up....

Pete

Mine was called the worry chair.....

Supposed to be the admiration chair, where you sit there and admire the curve on the plank you just installed!

Personally, I'd put a clear sealer on the walls, I like that woodgrain panelling.

Thanks bent. It's not quite as uniform as it looks in the picture though. The manufacturer also recommends either painting or an opaque stain even for indoor use.

Jo I am just now getting rid of the similar effects of this building sitting idle for 12 years. I am not letting that happen again...ever!!!

Well since we both agree that Elvis can’t make OSB look good; that bathroom wallboard is just dying for a nice opaque stain. I wasn’t going to say anything, but, it has too nice of a texture to paint: and besides, a medium dark stain will enhance the “lodge look” . Try a sample and let us vote Prof. (ret.)  8)

I agree. That paneling wants a finish that enhances the wood theme. It's too nice to paint1

Where are the paint guys now that I need you  :lolb:. I have been back over all the Q&A listings including answers by Louisiana Pacific who makes it, and acrylic latex paint is the recommendation.  I agree a non-opaque stain would look nice but best used on real wood panels and that wasn't in the budget. Even with paint though, I think the deep embossed texture will show through.  Maybe the contrasting trim, baseboard, etc will help too.

Scout and I finished up all but one small panel yesterday and today. I am glad to get this done, just the trim and ceiling to go, and the painting and the bathroom will be done. The vanity is out of place in the pic below but will need to paint behind where it goes before moving it back where it belongs under the window. Another week and the renovation should be complete.

Maybe use the same paneling in the whole shop... (I didn't mention paint at least)

If you do that, prepaint it in the flat.  SOOOO much easier....

Second that, when I built my great room I cleared all the boards before putting the up, tons easier to do on sawhorses than up the wall and cieling.

Bill,
Did I hear you ask me to mention the color taupe? Maybe some other color would at least sound better.
