Thanks Kim!  Mike, I guess its just one of those unwritten laws of human behavior or something. Though the good new is I have some major stuff that will come out too,so that will free up space to bring more stuff in :). Fortunately the new stuff going in isn't that large so it should be a net gain for the moment anyway.

Trying to catch up here. Bill, I’d be tempted to leave the vegetation: it’s great insulation, possibly could emit some “good gases” to offset the cutting oil smoke, and, may be a good theft deterrent: besides that, it looks cool.

Cletus,
Seeing he already has the "Gas powered saw" I think the decision is academic. On the serious side I'm sure you will enjoy the remodeled space.

He could use it to learn chainsaw carving instead...

Chris, I have acquired some new Foredom equipment that might do much better at carving without risk of life and limb, just on a smaller scale ;)

I have found that regardless of how large your shop is, you eventually run out of space.  looks like you have some ambitious projects for your early retirement!

Ok Bill two days have gone by :stickpoke: we have not seen any evidence of progress. I hope you haven't already slipped into that well known problem of retirement slow down

Swarf doesn't make itself you know  :ShakeHead:

Slow down Jo? Not hardly...just some other things these last few days...vet appointments, and other things that were waiting on retirement, but getting somewhat caught up. Swarf will be forthcoming.

I can see that. I thought when I retired I'd immediately be 'free'. Not so. Particularly since I turned 65 at the same time.
Having several doctor appointments. One of which was supposed to be a physical but when I went in I found out I was entitled to a one-time full blown physical due to having signed up to medicare. I still had the appointment to get some meds but had to reschedule the full blown physical.

Then there's all the house crap I put off while working.

Not to mention my timing was such that it put me at odds with T's gardening.

And it's essentially summertime. Trips, swimming, cooking out.

But to Jo's point...be careful of the possible 'slowdown'. You don't necessarily know it's happening.

I know I'm giving excuses...but some are actually reasons.  ;D

I hear you Zee. It's easy to put things off especially when you know you are retiring soon. But as always, after kicking the can down the road so to speak, it's still there in the road and we come upon it again!!

Since I’m in a betting mood: I’ll bet an RC Cola and a Moon Pie that this retirement thing doesn’t fully sink in until about mid to late August  :old: 8).

Well maybe it hasn't sunk in yet Cletus but I did have to ask the wife what day it was today   :lolb:
