I admire anyone taking on a project like this.  Maybe I might someday too, when I get brave enough.  :-\ your work looks great too me.

Made a start on the rods. Machined the big end caps to profile and drilled clearance holes for 2x56 cap screws.
Second photo is the two blanks bolted together ready for machining.

That's going to reduce to a nice large pile of chips.

Set the blank up and reamed for the big and little ends. Then using a 0.015" slitting disc cut them into individual  rod blanks. Had to use 0.015" as there wasn't much material between each blank.

Next step a simple jig to mount them and machine all over.

Nice looking operation on the rods. It makes making multiple parts much easier when you can do a lot of the operations and then just cut them off.

After making a quick jig. Nothing more than a block with two silversteel pins fitted on the same pitch as the rod blanks. Each blank is held down with 2 brass ba nuts. Rods require machining second side and deburr. But good progress today.

Some more progress. Bellhousing set up. A 4" blank 1.25" thick.
All one side milled. Another 2-3 setups to get it finished.

Not had loads of time recently. Work commitments. Family. Annual wkend to Silverstone for the f1.

Have made some progress. Cylinder liners fitted/honed. Crankcase milled requires some blending and holes tapping. Tappet cover machined and timing cover.

Very nice workmanship.
I always like that 'machined all over' look.
