Hi: I'm Bob E from SW Missouri. Just returned from the great NAME expo in Wyandotte, Mi. Always an awe inspiring event to say the least. Been engine and Locomotive modeling for 20 plus years now. Retired in 2000 and actively pursing model engine building. Like steam and hot air type engines. Would like to talk with any other modelers in the SW Missouri area. Always interested in others projects and techniques. Never too old to learn something. Just acquired a 3 axis DRO mini mill for my shop and absolutely love it so far. The format of this organization looks strikingly familiar with the one in the UK HMEM. Wondering where this one is based?

Welcome to the forum Bob.

SW Missouri eh. I call Springfield home. Went to high school in Waynesville. Spent a lot of time at TableRock.
It's a beautiful area.

Many/most of the early members (I was one) came here from HMEM when it was sold.

Looking forward to seeing pictures of your shop and models.

Hi Zee: Quite a coincidence you calling Springfield home as that is also my residence.  Will post some shop and project pics so as it sounds like this group may share some of the same members at the HMEM followers. I am a steam and hot air follower, previously built a 3 cyl shay locomotive in 1.5"scale that ran on 7.5" track in Ohio when we lived there. Currently just about finished with a 2x size Rudy K scale up vertical steam engine all scratch built with flywheel being the only purchased part. If there is some way we can talk offline via email?

Bob, I have removed your email from the above post since it is in your profile. Posting it on the open forum can invite unwanted spamming. Just a precaution.
