Hi all, and especially Jo,
I am rescuing a carriage stop for my Hardinge HLV-H and have one screw missing at the back, which presses upon the gib and secures the assembly to the bed, and have identified the thread as being 3/8" * 26 tpi Whitworth, and have sourced a replacement.
However, at the front of the stop assembly there is a rotary vernier gauge, which is threaded though and there appears to be some form of locking system, but this is missing.
Can anyone shed any light on what I should be looking at sourcing or making in order to be able to lock the vernier, and I am attaching two photos for clarification.
Mike
