Beautiful gears. I think you've got this one down tight!

Thanks Pete and Nick !!

I do have a question...Is the way my cutter is set up correct? I realize it worked but ....wasn't sure about the washer stack-up. Any special way they should be?
  Thanks again

They look good, don't forget to put a hole in the middle before parting off. Infact before you part off the small one try the mesh on the engine as we did have to fiddle the sizes slightly, if things are a but tight you may be able to recut the small one slightly deeper rather than make a new smaller one.

On small gears like this in soft materials it makes little difference where you place teh gear on teh arbor, but its a bit more rigid the nearer you mount it to the mill spindle which helps on larger teeth in steel.

Thanks Brain your knowledge is greatly appreciated as well !! Thanks Zee...by the way sorry I missed you at Cabin Fever. I still have that invitation open to see the penny !! Dive right  in Kim it took me AWHILE to take the plunge but it had to be done !!

Not much today...but I did finish all the gears !!
Here's the kicker gear. I just need to reposition the rotary table and cut half the teeth off...cut them all to make sure it was correct..

I took Jason's advice and mocked the timing gears...so glad they mesh...but did find out there are some bushings missing plus some others I thought I had already completed !!

All parted off...set screw holes threaded 4-40

 Thanks again

If reading this I'm sorry to say I have no new progress !! I went on a little vacation to Daytona 75th Anniversary Bike week !! I'm here to tell you that's a lot of fun !!! Once home I developed a serious sinus infection. I'll blame that on the Florida pine pollen. Now getting over that my other hobby is starting to kick in. I shoot long range competitions 600 - 1000 yard F TR. Machining will take a back seat again for a little bit. I'll be practicing shooting on weekends and reloading during the evening. I'll have some time to do a little work in the dungeon and will keep you posted.
I really want to thank everyone for the extreme help and support I have received here during the making of the most difficult parts I have ever made !! Thank you again !!!
  Until next time.....
