Building a new Upshur Farm Engine
« on: March 20, 2018, 11:11:38 PM »
While at Cabin Fever 2018 i got a new S&S ignition for my first Upshur engine that made her run great.  :cartwheel: I have had running issues ever since I built it many years ago. I decided to build another engine this time a little modified and with hit & Miss added. I wanted to add a one piece hopper as i did not like the original style. I started in Autocad and drew the hopper I wanted and with my 3d printer printed a pattern and core box to cast the hopper. I had some help making the cores from my buddy Dave. I was able to get a good casting the first go. :cartwheel: :cartwheel:. Here is where i'm at so far.

I think this will be a great engine. My first model engine was an Upshur Farm Engine built in 1996. It has many hours of running on it, and it still runs well. I have displayed it at every Cabin Fever show except the first one. Thanks for posting, Dave!
