Bin collection  :headscratch:

Sorry about the lack of houses in my photo all I can offer you is our giant white balls :embarassed: As you can see no snow (and no traffic fumes to help melt the snow if it comes  ;) )

Jo

What? My road ??

Not much traffic on it .. but it is a bus route so it gets gritted ...

Last house I had was on a quasi up-market estate built on a hillside ... never got gritted and the local Goons felt it necessary to park on both sides of the road 'cos they were too bone idle to clear their drives.

Never again ... One of the reasons I bought this one.

The reason you lot don't have any snow is that it's all here in Kent! In fact, quite a bit of it is in my garden (about four inches so far) and still falling.

That looks pretty Ray  :D They are now promising it for Thursday here  ::)

I am not sure my workshop heater will have achieved enough for a bit of swarf making at lunchtime. It may just about keep it above zero out there :-\

Same here Jo. Was planning to do the keyway on the Robinson flywheel today, but don't fancy the chances of my workshop fan heater being able to cope with the icy blast coming through the gaps in the door! That reminds me, I must make a new door next Summer.
Snowing harder than ever at the minute with no sign of it stopping in the near future!

Jo must be all that stored up heat in your casting collection hat is melting the local snow ;)

None falling here but as I'm only a couple of miles from the Kent Border may get a bit of rays if it moves a bit further west.

Bin men are cumming up the close as I type :)

Watch it on here:

https://www.netweather.tv/live-weather/radar

Click 'anim on'

You can see where it's affecting the Norfolk/Essex/Kent areas then going down the Channel.

Not much up here ...   Good scheme   ;D

I'm not impressed with the weather forecast... It says it should be minus 1 degrees outside, while they are reporting minus 6 as the current temperature  :noidea: Even our local airfield is reporting minus 5 out there.

And it should be going down by another 5 degrees over night so the workshop is going to be burr..  :paranoia:

Just had a 15 min snow shower that’s dumped 2cm of snow

We had none before the shower

But I do remember long time ago when I was at school opening the backdoor and being greeted to a 3 foot wall of snow , but further back in time 1947 to be exact my mum told me later one that the snow was up to the top windows of a double decker bus I was too small the notice still tired 💤 after the move

That was on Trowel moor between Ilson and Nottingham

But I do agree the news hounds over report it and travel firms are to H&S conscious

Keep safe and warm

Believe me, they haven't over reported it here!! Still chucking it down it large quantities. Must be something like 6 inches now.

well its lovely and sunny here in suffolk, only got about 50.8mm of snow, but the town of beccles is gridlocked. Will probably all melt by the end of the as it one -1 out, have cleared and gritted my elderly neighbours path anyway just in case.

to cold for the workshop but think ill take a nice sunny walk down to the pub in a bit.  :DrinkPint:
one day ill finish a project before starting another!

If the main workshop is too cold then there are alternatives  ;D
