Interesting website
« on: February 20, 2018, 02:08:17 PM »
Found this website awhile ago, thought it might be of interest to we engine swarfmakers.

Only problem it's in Dutch.

Jammer he?  = Pity, eh? :-)

Bing will happily translate the page(s) to reasonably decent English.
Some superb model work there. Intersting jig for silver soldering the crank throws.

I wouldn’t have cared less if it was in ancient Hebrew; damn beautiful models.

I think that he is a member of this forum and gave me some information/links on my diesel stuff  :headscratch: He is certainly on the Model Engineer forum.
Best regards

Google Translate works pretty good, but it does take time to cut & paste...

Depending on your browser, google has a facility where you can give its translator the web address and it will do the whole page for you.

'Johann' is, to me, one of those remarkably talented model engineers that one would love to be good enough to emulate but know that no amount of trying will succeed, such is the standard.  Several years ago I saw the Otto model at an exhibition and was very impressed with the quality of build - these other models now take that standard even higher and are truly exceptional - to see them in the flesh would be something very special.

Thanks for sharing the link John

Ridiculously well done.  Without people like him setting the bar high I wouldn't have the dreams I do of making nice parts one day (in my still distant retirement...) and collecting them into a beautiful model.
Thanks for sharing.
BTW - using Chrome web browser its as easy as right clicking on the page and selecting the "Translate to English" option to make it easy for us English uni-lingual folks to understand.  But to me the pictures made the words unnecessary.

Hey,
I really liked that micrometer set up for line boring the crank mains.

Thanks for bringing this to attention, John.    I'm completely astonished by the brilliance of this modeller's work, absolutely at the pinnacle of model engineering achievement in design and build complexity, finish and presentation.   Dave

Yes Johan does some nice work, he is currently working on an Allman engine from scratch but has not been in the best of health.

Some more of his models here http://www.model-engineer.co.uk/albums/member_album.asp?a=6778
