sine bar protractor

I made this sine bar protractor a few weeks ago



To use all you have to do is zero your height gauge on it



Then as the distance between centres is 100mm simply multiply the sine of the desired angle by 100 to give you the height to set the bar to using the height gauge.



Then use it to set up your work piece

That's just too handy to be legal.... gonna  have to make one!

Interesting device.
 How does the pivot bolt thing work? Clamping or resistant type fit
 Looks like a hex counter sunk bolt with a slot cut in it   :shrug:

Not seeing the pivot lock either, could you post a detail sketch?  Like the idea though, thanks.

Its just a pinch clamp the drawings attached so you can see how it works
