Those tubes I have are some 21 - 22mm bore. ( I have a broken one, must measure it, IIRC they are a bit more than 1mm thick).

So, what's the diameter of the marbles?

Dave

Good morning Dave.

Not having my trusty Mitutoyo to hand I’m guesstimating the test tubes to be around the 20 mm mark and 150 mm long. The marbles are roughly 15 mm in diameter.

I should do a new video as the piston to bore fit has greatly improved after a few runs. It will now run flawlessly for several minutes on a cap full of Methylated spirit.

Cheers Graham.

On the “ pancakes “ front....

Just done the grandchildren American style thick ones, their favourite being Ham embedded into the batter. Once cooked liberally coated with Lyles golden syrup.

For me.... a pancake filled with smoked Bacon and a generous helping of extra mature Stilton..... heaven!

More fillings, anyone?

Cheers Graham.

I'll tell you now.
Not you.  ;D
No matter how awesome the picture.

Test me.

Zee. You have no idea how relieved I am ...

Stuart   . Ey-up, our kid. ....   :D   You do seem to be getting some grief  :(  Hope thing improve for you soon.

Anyway, now back from a day out courtesy of the NHS, having been (in no particular order) prodded, poked, manipulated, doped up, talked about, talked over, taped up, given some more pills and sent home.
It appears I have displaced my patella. Here's me thinking I'd buggered my knee  :headscratch: Shows you just how wrong you can be  :D
So, in accordance with the instructions given by a very attractive Chinese doctor  "Not to indulge in any high impact activities and take plenty of fluids" I've given up jousting and, in the absence of any other, my interpretation of "plenty of fluids" will have to do.
Got to see them again Friday

Pancake Day ???   :headscratch:  Isn't that something to do with parachuting ??

Dave

Ah, a secret admirer then

What's the use of having a secret admirer  :noidea:

I haven't seen any castings so far  :( ...I thought I heard the door but I never made it before I heard Surus trumpeting something about having an admirer of his own and next it looked suspiciously like he was stuffing a new box into his casting cupboard

Hi Stuart

Seems a bit better  thanks.

A lot of the ratchetty feeling has gone and it isn't quite so uncomfortable.

Just keep pottering about to keep it moving. Not very quick but then I never was ...  :old:
