I stumbled across this short video of a Victorian pumping station just outside London and thought it may be of interest.

I think you will agree the workmanship is astounding when you consider it was used to pump sewage and the inside was probably never intended to be seen by the general public.  Looks more like as masonic or religious temple than a sewage works

Yea... that is on my   to-do  list as i have never been there..   I always call it a  'Cathedral to sewage'   Built by Mr Bazzlegette     no expense spared !!

It's on my visit list too, I live in Yorkshire so ideally I'd like to attend one of the Southern model engineering shows and Crossness at the same time.

"Stink"  I think refined people call that sort of thing its "Fragrance" as it is expensive stuff to generate being that it comes from extravagantly priced materials sourced from within the M25, think of it like a perfume 


I wonder how they are getting on with Victoria
