The quad is torn about 95%.   I will need surgery.    6-8 weeks without driving....

Just read this Dave  :o

But hey, look, laying on the floor in agony in a restaurant is not the (best) way to get out of paying the bill  ::) - Whiskey would know of course  ;)

All the best for a rapid recovery mate, hope you are back in full control of the old pins soon - no driving is a real bummer  :-\

Dave,
Don't you know that us old guys need to limber up with stretches before doing slippery floor gymnastics -->  :lolb:
Good luck with this.

Sorry to hear this.
You probably don't need me saying this...follow the doc's instructions and most importantly...follow through on the therapy that follows...to the t.

Dave,
Even when I had my shoulder surgery and the left arm was in a sling I could drive. I guess i could still shift steer and operate all the pedals. Hope everything goes well with surgery & all.

Where there's a will there's a way; I drove with one of those big boots on my foot when I broke my calcaneus and they told me no driving. It is probably to cover their butt more than anything.
Hang in there buddy, I hope that you heal quickly.

When then did my opp in December the hospital advised 6 weeks , but they also said check with your insurance company or you could be driving without any cover,

We all know what wriggly outfits they are

As mine was a vertical tummy cut about 200mm it could have affected my core strength for control

My aim is for a accurate part with a good finish

Dave: the sooner they do the surgery the sooner you will be getting better  :)

Competition  ::) Surus' escape route is 9" long  and it is still red  :disappointed:

Hospital said I was allowed to drive as soon as I could use the brakes. Insurance company said that unless Hospital/doctor had contacted DVLC then they would cover me. It was me who chose to delay things. 6 months on and it is the tummy squashing caused when driving that is the problem not the core strength.
