brass or bronze
« on: December 13, 2017, 03:10:42 PM »
I am starting work on a Rudy Kouhoupt steam model known as a flywheel pump. This particular model is vertical and utilizes a steam piston to drive a pump. Rudy notes that the cylinder should be of bronze and piston of brass. I have some stock on hand that could be brass or bronze. Problem is I cant tell which is which. Can anyone give me some guidance on how to distinqish brass from bronze. They both look alike to me.
Thanks
