You will have to look up the RAL equivalent to Dupont but this gives the colour matches for a lot of engines

Hello all.

First I want to wish you nice Christmas Days.

My father makes some more steel work.

Yesterday I paint the rest of the wooden parts.

Then I begun to make the switch.
I take "Pertinax" of 4mm thickness and 3mm Brass.

Now it's time to think about how to make the slots
and thinking about a comression spring or something else to fix the lever and make good electrical contact.
See pictures.

Regards Toby

I cut the slots with a slitting saw, bit easier if you do it white the part is still attached to the main rod.

If you slightly bend the lever so it is out of line with the slots then the "spring" in the lever will be enough to hold it in the slots.

Hello,

Jason, thanks for the tip.
I will see what my father can do.
He has a slitting saw.
The lever is only slightly bent, I did not know. Thank you.

Today I found a little time and finished the first hinges for the box.
It still lacks the right steel rivets.

Greeting Toby

Hello.

Thuesday I visit my father. We'll do some work at the Hand Truck Parts.

My fahter had begun to myke the wheels, and
I've begun to make some parts of the front axle holder.

At Christmas the Engine stands the first time at the Hand Truck.

Regards Toby

Hi Toby

You and your dad continue to make very nice parts, everything is coming together nicely!
I'm wondering about the photos of the original battery box, do you have any idea what type of engine that it was from?

I'm at the point that I need to make a battery box for my project and was thinking about maybe doing something similar to what you have done here. I really like the hinge design.
My battery box would have been from the 1890's and I'm not exactly sure what construction and hardware they would have used back then.

The "knife" hinges can also be seen in several of the illustrations in these old catalogues.

Hello and good morning.

Yesterday my father and I do some work on the axle holder.
We also finished the knife switch.

The Wanderer, scale 1/6, is another projekt of my father, and the Allchin, scale 1/12 I think, is for selling.
My father also selling a new, untouched castign kit of the Allchin.

Some very neat soldering on those brackets. I also like your Fathers Fowler, you don't see that many made as the road loco, most are the single cylinder agricultural versions.

Hello,

the axle / handle bar holder are ready now.
Also the axle washers.

Now we wait for the laser cut wheel inlets to finish the wheels.

Jason, my father always likes something special about his models.  :)

Hello,
here is a little update.

My dad has finished the piston rod, cylinder and bushing.
The piston is from a Honda Dax 50ccm.

I got the lasered wheel inserts and began milling the grooves for the spokes.

Hello,

a little update of our IHC.

My father soldered and rounded off the tank and crankcase.
And has built the water pumps holder.

Next, some levers were built. For that I could do the blanks on my CNC milling machine.
My father then finished the rest of the levers.

Some parts of the tank fittings are already finished.

Toby
