« on: November 22, 2017, 06:30:13 PM »
If anyone needs one I have a spare Stuart 10V Standard. (1st Pic) PM me if you would like it.

And to give you an idea how cute the 10V is the 2nd pic shows the standard with its big brother  ;)

I'd love to have it, Jo. But I think it would be better off staying closer to home... shipping, etc., ... you know...

Well, if this one has had a proper amount of casting-fondling done to it, it should be quite a valuable collector item!

Hi Dave

There has now been a subtle change in the title. :mischief: :mischief:

There was a big clue in the title. :mischief: :mischief:

Mike

Depends which title you look at as Jo has only corrected it in some of the replies!

They say there is no such thing as a free lunch, so why not try to sell it. Rarity value and all that :mischief: :mischief:

Hi Jo,

If your free offer still stands I may be interested and would be happy to pay postage costs :-)

I'm currently building a little Muncaster engine (and will update my build log in a few days) but once that is completed I may have a go at building a barstock 10V rather like Brian Rupnows engine and posting the progress here  :)

What would be approx. shipping to the US?

Hey, no worries. I'm liable to choke at the shipping costs if that can be estimated.... :o :o
I was going to fabricate a standard for an engine that size. And now maybe this....

BUT.. since you are there already and could likely meet the young lady then I will defer to you.
Take it, please!

So will that be a metric 10V?

I think the standard would be the hardest part to fabricate you just have the easy bits to do now :LittleDevil:

Yup, metric all the way - none of this inches, cubits and hands for me  ;)

I have duffers 'Ladybird' book of building a 10v with the drawings included so it should be fairly straightforward.

Hi Peter,

I have been looking through my come in handy pile and found a couple more odd ends: A 75mm flywheel that is short of a spoke and has a single groove round its rim   :-\ which goes with the machined cylinder (originally for a horizontal) and a second smaller cylinder with a 45mm disc flywheel, which you could probably get away with four pillars as mounts.

Sorry no more spares for a 10V  :(
