1st problem is having stuff to put in the drawers. Hadn't really thought of that.
Sort of like buying your first lathe. Gotta get all the tools and fixin's.  :Lol:

My Kennedy tool box is like that.  It was particularly annoying since I keep a large plastic tray on top of the box to hold other tools.

I solved the problem by cutting two lengths of PVC pipe to a length such that, stuck in the top compartment, they prevent the top from closing far enough to engage the drawer lock.  The lid is almost closed when sitting on the PVC so the tools in the top bin are still protected.

probably 13 mm.  1/2"  almost fits but not quite.
