Its meant to be a surprise for Xmas.

(But we might just have to check that all the bits are there when they arrive ;D)

Meetings.........In my last job the only reason we had a weekly management meeting was so that we could resolve the issues we had not resolved at the previous weeks meeting. This is the closest you can come to a motionless motion and justifies the employment of the otherwise unemployable.

A parcel just arrived :whoohoo:

Err, it was a bit bigger than I expected :o. When I opened it it seemed at first to be full of snow

A bit of digging found two further boxes:

Inside more snow :( but signs of castings  :whoohoo:

So this is the inside of the first box the McOnie :pinkelephant::

And the second the Sir William Armstrong Hydraulic Pumping Engine :whoohoo:.

Now I just need to keep them hidden from the wrapping fairy >:D.

Nice looking casting sets there Jo. They supply the wood bases also??  I think there's a law somewhere (probably one of Murphy's corollaries) that says once things have been removed from a well packed box, its virtually impossible to ever get them back in so that the box will close fully...so I'm thinking that the wrapping fairy is pretty much out of luck at this point :)

I wouldn't dare start them :ShakeHead:, the wrapping fairy (my father) likes to play the Xmas game. I just have to make sure that all the parts stay safely in their boxes at my house, rather than him "looking after them" and wrapping each item separately so that I have "more presents" on the big day .

Dog gone Jo, now I am jealous. That is some great looking casting. Can Santa put me on your list?

Silly question: Have you given Santa your Xmas list yet? He (and Mrs Santa) are normally very good if you give them sufficient time (and in my experience direct them to the correct website) ;D.

Don, I am chuffed you would like to go on my Xmas list. But sorry this year I am now down to the cheaper items, so you have missed out. If I am lucky I might get an additional dozen bottles of wine and some Port

(But that is conditional on not touching the castings :hellno:)

Jo,  I hope you mean delighted and not annoyed, as I was trying to inject a little humor. The word has two meaning here. My apology if it was offensive.

Kind Regards Don

Very nice Jo, makes a change from socks or probably tights in your case.

Maybe this will help stop you fiddling with the boxes until xmas
