Dear Santa, I would like for Xmas.....
« on: September 29, 2012, 07:21:14 PM »
Dear Santa,

As Christmas is coming I thought you might like to know my Xmas list (just in case you or anyone else needed ideas). So from the top:

A Cowells Milling Machine ,
A fully equipt Aceira F1 Milling machine  ( but if pushed I will accept an Bridgeport Milling Machine but that is just between you and me)

Sadly we all seem to be suffering with an economic down turn so if you cannot help with my first choice then, I would also like:

A set of 1/4 scale Merlin Engine Castings .
A set of Galloway castings ;D.
A set of McOnie Castings ;D.
A Keats Angle Plate.
A  Stevensons indexing head
A set of 1-2-3 blocks, or even a set of 10-20-30 block

But more importantly than all the rest I would like to be able to spend more time in my workshop :whoohoo:.

Jo

That one's on the top of my list too.

I hope all your dreams come true.

I would like to find a place closer to home to put my workshop so I could spend more time there. It must fulfill the requirements of free rent and power, although I could probably afford the power based on the fuel savings traveling to and from.

Any tools or castings of tools or models would of course be welcome.

Lastly, if it's not too much to ask, I would like to be around long enough to complete my current and planned projects.

Best Regards
Bob

Not seen any 10-20-30 Jo, but how about some 10-20-40 blocks or maybe some 20-40-80?

I'd content myself with the hammer and extension cord from this HF flyer

This is a fitting job,
not a production job that can be measured in.

Father Xmas has said yes to a set of castings :pinkelephant:

And not to be out done Mummy Xmas also said yes to a set of other castings (but they were not on the list)  :whoohoo:

Lets hope they are available, after all one cannot have too many castings ;D

Congratulations Jo.

I'd forgotten about Mommy Xmas. I might have more luck with her.

Sleigh bells ring are you listening?
In the workshop machines are glistening
A beautiful sight, we are happy tonight, planning all the engines we will make

Put away are the old tools, here to stay are some new ones
We will sing a love song as we walk along, planning all the engines we will make.

In the workshop we can build an engine
Then pretend that it didn't cost that much.
When they ask are you busy? Well say yes man,
So we need to work some more when you're in town

Later on we conspire as we dream by the fire
With face unafraid of what's stashed away, thinking of the engines to be made.

In the workshop we can build an engine,
And pretend that it's all going well
We'll have lots of fun making our engine
Until we reach that bit that makes us frown.

When it works ain't it thrilling, though your ears will get a grilling,
We'll frolic and play when it goes the right way, thinking of the engines to be made

Dreaming of the engines to be made

Remembering the engines we have made
----
Sorry I felt the need for that: Santa has told me that I should expect a delivery in the next few days  :whoohoo:

And its only October...gotta love when Christmas comes early :)  So do we get to know which casting sets Father & Mummy Christmas will be bringing??

Gosh, I'm feeling all "seasonal" now.
