It is always good when you find an obvious problem. If you hadn't seen anything when you opened the defective plugs it would have been a bit of a head scratch  :headscratch:
Best regards

I came across this post while searching for something else, the methodology mirrors that which I did in making the original 1/4" plugs. Since then I have made a 4.5 mm version using the same design. these were tested using an adaptor in the Project 2 cylinder engine.

Thanks for an enjoyable read and I am glad my design was of help to you.

My best regards
Gray,

Hello Graham,

I am pleased you happened upon this build story. I liked your design and the clever use of the fish spine ceramic for the hot end.  It's good to be able to tear down a duff plug and replace any failed parts. I now have all thirty plugs tested and working.

I believe I credited this plug design to you back in Reply #435 and on several further occasions. Great design, so credit where credit is due.

Stay safe

Mike

It is the journey that matters, not the destination

Sometimes, it can be a long and winding road
