Hi From Aylesbury
« on: September 05, 2017, 05:00:40 PM »
I'm so glad that I found your site and so many like minded model engineers. I am a printing engineer by trade and have always been fascinated by steam engines, so I thought I'd have a go at building one. I've just bought a second hand Chester 920 lathe which I have had to carry out a few repairs to to get it back into working order. Unfortunately I only have limited space in my garage as I have to share it with a tumble dryer, chest freezer and a 1976 Mini 1000. My only other machines are a pillar drill and bench grinder. I can't wait to get started and reading some of the interesting posts has really got me fired up!.

Hi and welcome Rumpole. You can certainly find plenty of inspiration here, and guidance as well if you wish to help you get off to a good start in this wonderful hobby of model engine making. Look around and find where your interests lay and feel free to ask lots of questions also.
