Edward Blake No2 Tap Grinder.
« on: August 29, 2017, 07:21:43 PM »
I have been offered a machine described as an Edward Blake No 2 tap Grinder (in England) and have seen an identical machine for sale on Ebay USA although that one has a 3 ph motor whereas the one I have been offered is single ph 250 V (UK domestic supply).
It looks to me as though this could be used for simple grinding of endmills and slotdrills but I can find very little technical information in England.
Is there anyone who knows more than I do about this machine (I would guess that means just about everyone!)

I am now in possession of the machine which has Whitworth threads as well as the English motor. There is a plaque stating that it was supplied by E.P. Barrus Ltd in London and I have established that it came from Marshalls of Gainsborough during a clearout of their works.
Many thanks for any information.

Brian
